Ils ont reçu ce mercredi 22 janvier 2025, un lot important de semences des maïs, don du gouvernement de la République démocratique du Congo via le ministère de l’agriculture. Ce sont les agriculteurs de l’ONG EYTHAN basés à Kibalamba, une localité située à 12 Kilomètres du Centre Ville de Tshikapa, chef-lieu de la province du Kasaï.
La cérémonie de remise officielle de cette semence a été présidée par Me Junior Mukenge, Coordonnateur provincial de l’ONG EYTHAN dans la province du Kasaï.
Au nom de la présidente nationale Denise Muluka Muhandji, Junior Mukenge a laissé entendre que cet acte vient appuyer davantage le travail acharné amorcé depuis quelques mois dans le cadre de la lutte contre la crise alimentaire qui frappe actuellement la région du Kasaï.
Il a salué la bonne volonté du gouvernement central et du gouvernement provincial du Kasaï dirigé par le gouverneur Crispin Mukendi via le ministère provincial de l’agriculture avec à sa tête Jacob Pembelongo.
«Nous avons remis des semences reçues de la part du gouvernement central via le gouvernement provincial du Kasaï. Quand on nous donne des intrants agricoles, ce n’est pas pour les garder, mais plutôt les mettre au travail et aider la province à lutter contre la crise alimentaire », a souligné Junior Mukenge, Coordonnateur provincial de l’ONG EYTHAN.
Peu avant la remise de cette semence améliorée des maïs, le coordonnateur provincial de l’ONG EYTHAN Junior Mukenge et toute la délégation, ont inspecté les travaux de construction d’un pont jeté sur la rivière Luime financés à 100 % par Denise Muluka Muhandji, patronne de l’ONG EYTHAN et l’une des architectes du développement du Kasaï.
Ce pont qui va relier la localité de Kadiba à la ville de Tshikapa, est d’une importance capitale, puisqu’il va permettre à l’acheminement des produits vers le centre de consommation qui est la ville de Tshikapa.
La population locale plaide pour une assistance de la part du gouvernement provincial.
Rappelons que l’ONG EYTHAN est une structure spécialisée dans le secteur agricole. Elle compte à ce jour, dans la province du Kasaï, plusieurs champs de maïs et maniocs à Kibalamba et dans la cité frontalière de Kamako. Sous le leadership de Denise Muluka Muhandji, présidente nationale, EYTHAN a bénéficié, dans le cadre de la campagne agricole, des semences et intrants agricoles de la part du gouvernement central via le ministère de l’agriculture, et ce, grâce à la bonne volonté de Maître Crispin Mukendi Bukasa, gouverneur de la province du Kasaï.
