Farmer’s Voice aims to educate and empower citizens: a commitment to social and climate justice.
Today’s Ethiopian national press briefing marks a crucial step in the lead-up to the second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2), scheduled for 8–10 September 2025 in Addis Ababa. Held at the Addis International Convention Center, this media event seeks to boost political, social, and media mobilization around the continent’s climate challenges.
Through this initiative, the African Union and the Ethiopian government aim to amplify Africa’s collective voice, often sidelined in global climate negotiations. The goal is to promote homegrown solutions to environmental challenges while demanding concrete financial and technical commitments from international partners.
By bringing together governments, experts, civil society, and media under a shared strategy, this effort lays the foundation for an ambitious continental summit. The objective is clear: build a resilient Africa, assertive in global climate governance, and sovereign in its sustainable development choices.
